Day of the Cross on Saturday 1st May. This is the noisiest day of the two weeks or so of this religious occasion organised by the Green Church.
If you don't like noise, keep away from the town centre from about mid-day to mid afternoon. If you live near the southern bypass, don't plan on sleeping in that morning!
But if you do want to be involved, one of the best places to be is the Cruz de la Mision roundabout (Stone Cross Roundabout) from early afternoon. Keep your ears open and you will be in no doubt when to go there! I'll post more details on the alhaurin.biz blog.
Do not forget that Monday 3rd May is a holiday, so shops and banks are closed.
